A reimagined entry courtyard and low series of retaining walls breathes new life into a tired duplex, where native prairie grasses and herbaceous perennials echo the landscape that once rolled along the low hills and dales of the South Bay region. A new covered portico welcomes visitors and offers pause and respite from the southern exposure, and perhaps an infrequent afternoon cigar.
